BODIES
I created a series that explores the topic of idealized bodies. Due to my previous anorexia, I often reflected on my body and its ideals. In this series of images, I explore my values and the aesthetics of the female body. It’s a mixture of abstract and realistic oil painting. The colors reflect a particular mood and create a characterization of the motive. Oil on Canvas.
DRAWN FACES
This series of images focuses on the theme of the portrait. The blurred details reveal the fractured nature of the human character, as well as its superficialities and errors. The connection between the inner emotional world and outward appearance is severed.
